KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A burglar breaking into a Belle Tire Store was caught red handed by Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputies early Sunday morning, December 19.
Authorities say police nabbed the male suspect when they responded to an alarm at the 5790 Gull Road location.
On scene, police observed the suspect inside of the business attempting to flee through the side door. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was caught and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail on charges of Breaking and Entering, possession of burglary tools, resisting and obstructing, and possession of methamphetamine.
The suspect was found to be in possession of stolen property from Belle Tire as well as burglary tools. All stolen property from Belle Tire was returned to the store.
