EAST LANSING, MI — You can now get a COVID-19 test at Spartan Stadium on the campus of Michigan State University. The PCR tests will be available to anyone in the community, including MSU students and faculty.
The state reported over 16,000 new cases of Covid-19 this weekend and health officials in the state are encouraging testing for anyone exhibiting cold or flu like symptoms because of the new strains of the virus, like the omicron variant.
The public testing will be offered on Concourse B of Spartan Stadium on the south side of the stadium. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Results are likely to be received by 9 a.m. the next morning.
MSU reports that over 91% of MSU students and staff are vaccinated against COVID-19. This is the students’ final week on campus with Christmas break beginning next week.
