EAST LANSING, MI — There will be little something extra in the stockings hung over the fireplace this year for most Michigan State University employees.
In a note to staff, MSU President Samuel Stanley on Tuesday said the school is giving the majority of faculty and staff $1,500 recognition bonuses for their service to the school through the Covid pandemic.
Those eligible for the bonuses are regular and temporary faculty, academic staff and support staff employees; as well as graduate teaching and research assistants, the school says. Employees must have been hired on or before Sept. 1, 2021, continue to work on Jan. 1, 2022, and comply with university COVID-19 protocols.
