HOMER, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says a 14-year-old student was responsible for a threat made against Homer Schools that was discovered on Thursday.
According to a Sheriff’s Department news release, school officials found two hand-written threats written on the walls in two boys bathrooms at the school.
Authorities quickly narrowed down the time frame when the threats were written, and using the hallway video system were able to identify the student as the suspect.
The youngster was interviewed and the Sheriff’s Department says the student confessed to making the threats as a dare from other students in the school.
Deputies verified the information with the other students involved.
A warrant request was forwarded to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office.
