CECCANO ITALY (WKZO AM/FM) – The brightest comet of the year is making an appearance in the night sky this month…and you’ll want to get a glimpse of it, since it won’t be back.
Leonard began its show on Friday, and experts say that people should be able to see it in the early morning sky, with assistance from binoculars or a telescope, through Christmas Day.
It will be closest to the Earth on December 12th, when it will be about 21.7 million miles away.
If you want some help seeing Leonard, you can go to the Virtual Telescope Project website, www. https://www.virtualtelescope.eu/.
