KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An ambulance on the way to Bronson Methodist Hospital last night collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Whites Road and South Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says the ambulance was enroute to the hospital at 9:25 p.m. with lights and sirens activated when a vehicle traveling west on Whites Road entered the intersection. The crash occurred in the intersection.
The ambulance was transporting a critical patient at the time of the crash. A second ambulance was called to transport the existing patient and another ambulance to treat those on-scene.
The injuries are considered non-life threatening. Alcohol and drugs are not factors in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
