KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Over 120 Kalamazoo Public Schools District parents and their children will learn today where the student will be going to classes for the rest of the school year. They are all from families that spent the first trimester learning on-line.
Superintendent Dr. Rita Raichoudhuri says not all decided to go through with it because the district could not guarantee there would be room for them at their previous schools. Eight families changed their minds after a briefing.
Those who remain in the district’s virtual learning alternative will get another shot to send their back to school during the third trimester. Details on that are still being worked out.
