KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Earlier this week, the Better Business Bureau Serving Western Michigan (BBB) announced the appointment of its new President and CEO.
Lisa Frohnapfel will replace Phil Catlett, who is retiring at the end of the year after leading the organization for 10 years.
On Wednesday, Frohnapfel spoke with us about the new job. Thanks to her experience in the financial industry, she says she is well aware of scams circulating throughout the state.
“It’s so unfortunate, and that’s one of the great things about the BBB and why I’m so pleased to join their team,” Frohnapfel said. “Their mission of making sure it’s a trust within the marketplace and the integrity and ethics that we all work within, it’s an amazing organization that helps everyone be their own advocate. There’s so many benefits of being accreddited by the BBB, I hope to go ahead and expand upon how many businesses take advantage of that.”
With so many ways to get information these days, Frohnapfel says it benefits everyone to have one central resource for business information.
“We take reviews and information to heart and make certain we are upholding that integrity within the marketplace,” Frohnapfel said. “Our team is working so hard to make certain they’re really investigating things and looking out for the best interest of the community.”
