KDPS opens hiring process, applications accepted until November 28

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) is now hiring for new Public Safety Officers.

The online application, available at this link, opened Wednesday and will remain available until Sunday, November 28.

The hiring process includes the following:

• An initial application and questionnaire,
• A written exam,
• PSO agility test,
• A 1st interview,
• Background investigation,
• A 2nd Chief’s interview, and
• Psychological, medical and drug screenings.

Individuals who successfully complete the process are expected to receive employment offers in March 2022, with an expected start date in May 2022.
