Plans for a WMU brewpub have been put on hold

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Plans for a new brewpub in the heart of the Western Michigan University (WMU) campus are being put on hold for now.

A lease agreement with Latitude 42 was on the agenda of the WMU Board of Trustees, but was removed unexpectedly Wednesday.

“We do not have a lease agreement at this point, and we will look towards that for a future meeting,” officials said.

As proposed, it would not only be a business, but a learning opportunity for students from the hospitality, music and brewing programs at WMU.
