OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County investigators have confirmed that four people were shot at a banquet center last week and that none of the victims or witnesses are cooperating with them. They also confirmed that the shootings and the gathering were related to the rolling community that has come to be known as the X-Train.
It happened Friday night at the Birches Banquet Center in Oshtemo Township. Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller says his department will be working with Oshtemo Township officials to get a better understanding of what took place there. No arrests have been made.
The X-Train has recently been moving their rolling parties out of downtown Kalamazoo and into outlying areas of the city and Kalamazoo County. Law enforcement officials say they are taking measures to try to barricade areas near businesses they have been showing up at.
