KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It appears nobody was hurt, but a man was arrested after Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were called out early this morning for the report of gunfire.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of Woodward Avenue for multiple gun shots heard by near-by officers. KDPS located multiple apartment buildings in the area that had been struck by gunfire. A police K-9 was called to the scene to assist in finding the suspect.
Police say after an in-depth investigation, a 40 year old Detroit resident was located and arrested in the 700 block of Bosker Avenue. Officers were also able to locate and recover the firearm used shootings.
The subject is facing multiple felony charges and is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
