It’s the time of year when Michiganders begin thinking about getting their pesticide applicator certifications.
Jeremy Jubenville with the Michigan State Extension says it would be an understatement to say things have changed a little bit over the past 18 pandemic months. He advises having your applicator license number ready and make sure you participate in one of the in-person testing sessions this fall. Three are planned during November — on the 11th at the Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center in Frankenmuth, on the 17th at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street Complex in West Olive and on the 30th at the Northwest Michigan Horticulture Research Center in Traverse City.
Manuals can be purchased online at the National Pesticide Safety Education Center. MDARD’s in-person core testing and core review web page offers registration and more information.
