THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Some classes at Hoppin Elementary in Three Rivers are going to be suspended until early next month, school officials announced Monday.
In a letter shared by the district, officials explained that there has been an uptick of COVID-19 cases in multiple school buildings. At Hoppin Elementary, there have been three cases identified among students.
There was also one case identified in a staff member at Hoppin.
All schools will remain open at this time, but the 1st and 2nd grade classes of Hoppin Elementary will be transitioned to remote learning from Tuesday, October 26, to Thursday, November 4.
Those grades at Hoppin Elementary will be back in class on Friday, November 5.
Parents are asked to continue to monitor their children for any signs of COVID-19. Anyone identified as a close contact will be contacted by school officials with more information.
