LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Association of County Clerks Monday has released a statement calling on voters to recognize the results of the 2020 election in the state.
The bipartisan group says that any incorrect results, like those in northern Michigan’s Antrim County, were the result of human error and were corrected.
They say that Antrim County Clerk Sheryl Guy and her office did nothing wrong on purpose. Instead, the MACC says the mistakes that were caught prove “the system worked.”
The election results were certified by the Antrim County Board of Canvassers November 8, 2020, and a hand recount was done December 17.
The MACC says that recount provided “strong empirical evidence” that no significant errors were found.
The group says their findings match those of the bipartisan Michigan State Senate Oversight Committee, which also found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.
