PAW PAW MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Benton Harbor woman is facing multiple charges after leading Van Buren County Deputies on a high-speed chase Tuesday.
The 27-year-old suspect refused to stop for a deputy on west bound I 94 near Lawrence, and instead sped off, reaching speeds of close to 115 miles per hour during the chase.
The suspect’s vehicle finally became disabled, at which time she was arrested without incident.
There were several children in the car with her during the incident.
No one was injured, and county authorities turned the children over to family members.
The woman faces charges of child endangerment, fleeing and eluding, and driving on a suspended license.
