DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – NBA fans will have to wait to see Cade Cunningham in action.
The Detroit Pistons ruled out Cunningham for their season opener against the Chicago Bulls with a right ankle sprain. The guard has been dealing with the injury through the preseason and the medical staff is being cautious with his return.
Detroit drafted Cunningham out of Oklahoma State with the number one pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Saddiq Bey, Frank Jackson, and Killian Hayes also had ankle injuries during the preseason but will be available tonight.
