BANGOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — There was an increased police presence at Bangor High School on Friday, October 15.
The Bangor Police Department, Michigan State Police and Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department all pitched in to increase their presence at the school after parents reported social media threats to the school on Thursday, October 14.
According to the Bangor Police Department, the threats included the use of firearms.
While investigators found the threats to be unsubstantiated, several officers stayed at the school the next day out of precaution.
