THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three Rivers High School had to cancel classes on Friday, October 15, because of an increase in COVID-19 cases.
In a letter to families, Principal Carrie Balk said eight students had tested positive, and that large groups of close contacts had been identified. Three staff members had also tested positive, one staff member was quarantining, and three teachers were out due to non-COVID related illnesses.
Before canceling classes, office staff had been pulled from their normal jobs to cover classrooms, with some teachers covering more than one class at a time.
