KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo College men’s soccer team remained undefeated in MIAA play by soundly defeating Adrian College 5-0 Wednesday night at MacKenzie Field.
Five different players scored for the Hornets, starting with Alex Wallace’s goal in the 17th minute off an assist from Michele Alia. Alia then made it 2-0 by tallying his own unassisted score ten minutes later.
Chad Ewing closed the first-half scoring off an assist from Aidan Gillig in the 42nd minute to give the Hornets a 3-0 lead at the half.
Kalamazoo (8-2-2, 3-0-0 MIAA) outshot the Bulldogs 20-1 in the first half on their way to a 37-4 advantage on the evening. Luke Kastran claimed the shutout for K with a pair of saves.
Hayden Strobel, assisted by Colin Halloran, scored for K in the 74th minute, and senior Chris DeVito scored his first career goal in the 90th minute to close out the game.
Next up for the Hornets is the annual Homecoming game vs. Trine on Saturday at 5 p.m.
