‘A sort of translator between sometimes necessary bureaucratic speak and where the rubber meets the road in rural America.’
That’s how Farm Service Agency Administrator Zach Ducheneaux describes the new partnership between FSA and third party organizations to get the word out regarding initiatives to benefit historically underserved farmers and ranchers. He says $4.7 million worth of cooperative agreements with 56 partners is coming to offer technical assistance and outreach.
The initiative Ducheneaux describes is among $25 million in grants and agreements announced recently by USDA designed to create access and participation for those who’ve received less than optimal service in the past.
