Two teenagers were shot in Kalamazoo’s Vine Neighborhood Tuesday and are now recovering, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).
The victims were identified as two boys, aged 17 and 15. The shooting occurred on Pearl Street near Dutton Street around 4 p.m.
Police say the boys were walking with a group through the area when they were approached by a man in a mask. The man opened fire at them, injuring two.
Both are now recovering at an area hospital.
At this time, police believe this is an isolated incident.
The suspect has not been apprehended and there was no description available. A motive also has yet to be established.
