CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that one suspect is in custody after threats of violence were made against Cassopolis Public Schools.
The department says tips were received by Cassopolis Public Schools and the Sheriff’s Department on Sunday, October 10, indicating that an individual was making threats.
Police did not specify which school had been targeted by the threats.
The suspect was identified through an investigation, and a large police presence was at the school in question Monday morning.
The suspect was found and is being held on charges of Terroristic Threats, police said. That suspect is currently lodged at the Cass County Jail.
The suspect has not been identified at this time, pending arraignment.
