PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Utility work will cause a temporary closure of Brown Avenue in Portage starting Monday, October 11.
According to the Portage Department of Transportation and Utilities office, a sewer manhole will be installed as part of the Portage Community Senior Center construction.
Brown Avenue is scheduled to reopen no later than Friday, October 15.
The Metro bus stop on Brown Avenue will be temporarily relocated to East Centre Avenue at Mustang Drive, starting Monday, October 11.
All construction activity is dependent on favorable weather.
The utilities office says this work and road closure represent the first of three phases of upcoming utility work in the area over the next two weeks.
