DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Fans are gradually returning to the ballpark and the numbers reflect it.
Major League Baseball drew 45.3 million fans this season, according to ESPN’s 2021 Attendance Report. That’s down from the 68.5 million in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Detroit Tigers ranked 23rd in attendance with just over 1.1 million fans. That’s down from 1.5 million from 2019.
