KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public School officials say that air purifiers will be installed at the district’s school cafeterias.
The move is in response to parental concerns that not enough was being done to improve the quality of air in the buildings due to the pandemic.
District officials report that the equipment will be installed as soon as possible.
Some parents have requested that classrooms be included in the effort, but the plan is for only cafeterias right now.
There have been offers of parents donating DIY purifiers to the district, but liability issues prevent that from happening.
