BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two men accused in a Battle Creek bank robbery last month could face up to life in prison if they are convicted of the crime.
47-year-old Antonio Loyde of Kalamazoo and 41-year-old Jeremy Sanders of Florida were arraigned in Calhoun County court this week. It’s in connection to a robbery at the PNC Bank on Capital Ave. S.W. last month.
Investigators say one of the men entered the bank on August 24th with what appeared to be a real pistol, demanded money, and fled with a large amount of cash in a UHaul truck driven by the other man. Sanders was arrested at an Indiana casino a day later and Loyde was arrested in Kalamazoo last week following interviews with Sanders.
Both men entered not guilty pleas and are expected back in court on September 22nd.
