BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A building restoration project at 70 Michigan Avenue East in downtown Battle Creek next week will force a shutdown of the sidewalk.
City crews will begin work on Monday. The work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and is scheduled to be finished by next Thursday.
City officials say the sidewalk on the south side of Michigan Ave East from Capital Ave SW to North Division Street will be closed during the restoration work.
Westbound pedestrians will be instructed to cross at Division Street and eastbound pedestrians will be instructed to cross at Capital Avenue.
No road closures are in place; however, pedestrian traffic in the area should be aware of construction activity and follow posted signs.
