KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Kalamazoo say three people were rescued after a boat capsized in a lake Thursday night. It happened on Lake Hill N’ Brook just northeast of the I-94/U.S. 131 interchange.
FOX-17 reports that the boaters were located after nightfall, clinging to a tree about 75 yards from the shoreline. Rescue crews threw a rope toward them connected to a floatation device. The three people were able to grab onto it and were eventually brought safely to shore.
No injuries were reported. It’s unclear at this time what caused the boat to capsize.
