BATTLE CREEK MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kellogg Company has announced plans to eliminate more than 200 jobs over the next two years.
The Battle Creek-based firm stated that the job reductions would involve 174 hourly and 38 salaried workers currently at the Porter Street facility.
The move will relocate production efforts and attempt to streamline the company’s ready-to-eat cereal production.
Kellogg’s officials say that the reductions should be completed by the second half of 2023.
Union officials were notified of the changes on Friday.
