SAUGATUCK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted abduction of a female student at Saugatuck High School Thursday morning. The 17-year-old told deputies she had left the school building and was headed to her vehicle at around 10:30.
While leaning into her vehicle on the passenger side, a man came up from behind her and grabbed her above the waist, trying to pull her away from the vehicle. She was able to escape inside her vehicle after kicking at him.
The man is described as a skinny white male in his early 20s with messy blonde hair. He fled in a beige-colored SUV, possibly a mid-2000’s Cadillac Escalade.
Anyone with information to help identify the suspect should contact the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
