DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera says when his contract is done in 2023, he’s going to step away from baseball.
He told ESPN yesterday that will give him a 20-year career if he stays healthy. Cabrera noted his right knee “is really bad” and needs to be taken care of in the off season.
He added he’s most proud of winning the Triple Crown in 2012, but says if the Tigers can win the World Series before he’s done, that will be what he’s most proud of.
