STURGIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A lengthy investigation involving surveillance of a home in Sturgis led to a large drug bust and two arrests Wednesday night. The Southwest Enforcement Team, along with several other area law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of St Joseph St..
Detectives say the home had been known to be a drug house and in their investigations, they observed and documented several people coming and going for apparent drug transactions. Arrests were made on four separate occasions and led up to the search of the home.
Once inside, three men from the Sturgis area were located and two of them were arrested for possession of drugs and maintaining a drug house. Detectives say they plan to continue monitoring drug activity in the area.
