KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Wednesday, the moving company Two Men and a Truck Kalamazoo announced that it will be building a new facility.
The groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, September 9 at 11 a.m.
The new 16,800 square foot facility will be located just off I-94 at 3521 East Cork Street in Kalamazoo.
Two Men and a Truck has been offering moving and storage services for more than 35 years, and with the addition of this new building, officials say they will be able to offer more.
“We’re excited because we not only can offer more storage space, but we will be able to hire 15-20 more people and give back to the community at a greater level,” Sarah Shaw of the company said.
The new facility will also allow Two Men and a Truck to offer junk removal services to the community. This service helps those that are renovating, removing old furniture, eviction clean out or almost any other type of junk removal.
Officials say items are often too big or need a professional to help remove them safely. This is a new service for the Two Men and a Truck brand.
Two Men chose CopperRock, a Michigan-based commercial construction company, to design and build the new facility.
