PENNFIELD, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Pennfield Schools Superintendent Kevin Simmons has resigned following a contentious relationship with members of the district’s school board.
The resignation was accepted by the board during a special meeting on Monday night.
Four of the board members were elected last November and it was obvious during a August 16th meeting there were hard feelings between Simmons and Board President Jeff Wolfersberger when they got into a heated discussion over a set of directives.
The You Tube video of the meeting has been taken down but a video of the confrontation was posted on Facebook by the group “Pennfield School Board Watch Dogs”.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports Wolfersberger apologized for his conduct during last week’s board meeting.
