BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Two family pets perished in a late Thursday night Battle Creek house fire.
The Battle Creek Fire Department says the blaze at 111 Oaklawn Avenue was reported at 11:43 p.m..
Heavy fire was showing in a first floor back bedroom when firefighters arrived.
The fire was quickly knocked down and prevented from spreading throughout the structure.
All four occupants were able to evacuate safely before fire personnel arrived.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and is currently under investigation with the Fire Marshal.
