BROOKLYN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — COVID-19 cases continue rising in Michigan, and health officials say music festivals and other large gatherings are partially to blame.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported Monday that 101 cases of the virus, including five Delta variant cases, are linked to the 2021 Faster Horses Music Festival. Of the cases resulting from the festival, 87 are considered primary cases which means they were infected at the country music event.
The 2021 Faster Horses Festival took place last month at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.
