KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man is charged with shooting at a vehicle with two occupants inside of it.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety police responded to the 3800 block of Sprinkle Road at 6:28 p.m. Saturday on a call of shots fired in a parking lot.
Investigators found no relationship between the two people inside of the vehicle that was shot at, and the shooting suspect. No injuries were reported.
While investigating the shots, police were told that a vehicle was blocking traffic on U.S. Interstate 94. When they investigated, they found the vehicle had been abandoned and was stolen.
Police later found the suspect who was on foot near I-94 after abandoning the stolen vehicle. Authorities say the man had a loaded firearm with him and was also matched with the parking lot shooting through witness interviews and video review.
