PARCHMENT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Parchment Community Library will host the exhibit September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World during the month of September.
The exhibit was developed by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
It will be on display on the main floor of the Parchment Community Library, 401 S. Riverview Drive, from September 1 through September 30.
The library will be open during the following times:
- Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.,
- Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and
- Saturday 9 a.m. 1 p.m. in September.
Officials add that the installation of the exhibit is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Parchment Community Library.
In addition, with recent updates on health recommendations around COVID-19, guests are currently asked to wear masks while visiting the library.
Library Ambassador Karen Woodworth spoke with WKZO on Wednesday morning.
“We’re keeping an eye on the COVID numbers in Kalamazoo County,” Woodworth said. “With the rise to a substantial transmission level, we are requesting that people wear masks in the library. We have them available, just ask at the circulation desk.”
More information about the library can be found online at parchmentlibrary.org.
