HASTINGS MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Barry County man involved in a police chase and standoff Wednesday has been arraigned.
Timothy Riddle was charged with felonious assault, fleeing and eluding, and resisting arrest.
Riddle barricaded himself inside a gas station in Woodland, remaining there through the early morning hours on Thursday.
Barry County deputies and troopers from the Michigan State Police reported that shots were fired at times during the incident, which ended with Riddle surrendering at 1:30 am.
The Barry County Prosecutor says that more charges are pending.

WOODLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — After hours of negotiations late Wednesday and early this morning, police have arrested a person who barricaded themself inside a gas station in Barry County. The suspect walked out at 1:30 a.m. with his hands up according to a report from WOOD-TV.
Michigan State Police Troopers were assisting Barry County Sheriff’s deputies at a Mobile gas station in Woodland for several hours. They reported gunshots fired during the stand-off, which began at around 7:00 p.m..
The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team was on scene to negotiate with the suspect. It’s not clear yet if there were any injuries or what circumstances led to the standoff.

WOODLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State Police Troopers are currently on-scene assisting the Barry County Sheriff’s Office with a gunman barricaded inside a gas station.
Around 7:40 p.m., MSP Troopers from the Wayland post released a message that shots were fired at the Mobil gas station on East Broadway in Woodlawn Township.
It is currently unknown whether anyone is injured. Police are asking residents and drivers to avoid the area until the situation is mitigated.
