BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two young men from Battle Creek have been ordered to trial accused in a 2019 fatal shooting.
19-year-olds Kolbie McGinn and Trenen Cohoon had previously been charged on several counts, including murder, for the death of 27-year-old Michael Corbin at his Boulder St. home. The two reportedly went to Corbin’s home to buy some marijuana before one of them fatally shot him. They both have accused each other for the shooting, but admit to taking several items from the residence afterward.
The men face life in prison without parole if convicted on all charges. The case was delayed for months due to the pandemic and both have remained at the Calhoun County jail while awaiting court proceedings.
