MIDLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The West Michigan Whitecaps settled for a split in Midland against the Great Lakes Loons. A tough fifth inning was part of a 5-1 loss Sunday at Dow Diamond.
The loss forced the Whitecaps to settle for a split of their six-game series against the first-place Loons after having taken three of the first five games to start this series leading into the Sunday finale.
The Whitecaps return home for a six-day, seven-game series from LMCU Ballpark against the Dayton Dragons on Tuesday at 7:05 pm. West Michigan sends pitcher Garrett Hill to the mound against the Dragons Eduardo Salazar.
