KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A press conference that is described as a transformational and historical announcement for the city of Kalamazoo is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
City leaders will be joined by the Kalamazoo Foundation for Excellence on the steps of the city hall on W. South St. at 2:00 p.m. to share the details. City Manager Jim Ritsema says that today’s event will be much like the recent investment in Western Michigan University and will be an opportunity to celebrate the next chapter for the Kalamazoo community.
Along with Ritsema, Mayor David Anderson and Former Mayor Bobby Hopewell will be on hand to share the news and take questions.
We will have a reporter at the event and also are working to provide live coverage on WKZO beginning at 2:00 p.m. Stay with us for the latest updates on this breaking story.
(CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article indicated that the conference was Thursday.)
