Former Kalamazoo mayor Edward Annen, Jr., passes away at 70

KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Edward Annen, Jr., who served as mayor of Kalamazoo for three separate terms, has passed away at the age of 70.

Annen was mayor from 1979-81, 1985-91, and 1993-95.

He also served as a City Commissioner from 1977-79.

Annen, an attorney, was active as a member of the Little League World Series Board of Directors, and also with the Milwood Little League.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan, and his law degree from Wayne State University.

Annen is survived by his son, Edward Annen III
