ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man from Florida was injured in a crash involving two vehicles Tuesday night in Robinson Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
This incident took place at the intersection of 120th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive.
Just after 6:00 p.m., police say the 33-year-old Florida man was driving a Ford cargo van when he drove through a red light, crashing into a Jeep Grand Cherokee as a result.
The two occupants of the Jeep, a 21-year-old driver and a 22-year-old passenger, did not suffer injuries in the crash.
However, police said the driver of the cargo truck was unconscious after the crash. He was transported to an area hospital with non-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in this crash, but the case is still under investigation at this time.
