KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — At least 12 cases of graffiti vandalism have been reported in downtown Kalamazoo.
Photographs sent to us and posted on the Downtown Kalamazoo Twitter page show spray paint that says “#4 Flaco” on several downtown spots including Arcadia Condominiums, the Kalamazoo Mall, and the marble wall at the Radisson Hotel. It was also found on bus stop shelters and traffic signal poles among others.
The vandalism happened sometime between Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
In Spanish, Flaco means thin or skinny, but it’s not clear what the vandals are specifically referring to. There’s no word yet on any suspects believed to be responsible for the graffiti.
Okay “Flaco” is a common nickname en español; the exact same thing as calling someone “Slim” in English. In graffiti culture, the artist (or the vandals you obvious Trump supporters call him). Now the part that you say looks like “#4” to me looks like “quotation mark, Red, end quote”. Now the rest of the ” bizarre” message says “KZOO” like the musical instrument, kazoo, and is most likely referring to his graffiti squad, or crew, which is very tounge and cheek because it takes place in Kalamazoo. Call me crazy because I hail from California, and I think there’s something in the water, but I think it’s hilarious, creative and brilliant. You should be grateful you have such entertainment when your out and about town in what appears to be an otherwise mundane cityscape.
