KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department is investigating a homicide shooting that left one teenager dead, and another injured early Sunday morning, July 25.
Authorities say police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the 2200 block of Gull road around 2:30 a.m. Investigators determined that occupants in a dark colored SUV had shot at a group walking in the area.
A 16-year-old Kalamazoo Township female that had succumbed to her injuries was found a short time later.
Police were also notified that a 16-year-old Kalamazoo male had arrived at the hospital, also with a gunshot wound. The male teen is listed in stable condit
This case remains under investigation.
