CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The name of a Battle Creek man who was killed Sunday in a Kalamazoo County crash involving an alleged drunk driver has been released.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, 32-year-old Brady S. Rowse died in the Charleston Township crash that happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Deputies determined a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Battle Creek resident ran a stop sign at East Michigan Avenue and Mercury Drive. It then collided with a vehicle driven by Rowse causing it to leave the roadway and overturn.
Rowse was pronounced dead at the scene. Two occupants were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The at-fault vehicle driver was arrested at the scene for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol causing death.
The Sheriff’s office is still investigating and plan to turn in their report to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors Office.
