KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – There will be new leadership at Kalamazoo’s Hackett Catholic Prep for the upcoming school year, with Catholic Schools of Greater Kalamazoo announcing the appointment of Paul Dull as the high school’s next Principal.
Dull joins the Hackett Catholic Prep with three decades of experience in education, including leading several schools in the Grand Rapids area.
After serving as an international lay missionary, Dull accepted the leadership role at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, which was subsequently renamed San Juan Diego Academy. He also served as the Principal of the Potter’s House High School. He initiated professional learning communities for the staff and led initiatives which helped increase ACT scores and enrollment growth, which eventually led to a successful capital campaign to expand the capacity of the school.
The auxiliary bishop from the Archdiocese of Minneapolis-St. Paul asked Mr. Dull to lead a school in crisis a little over a year ago. Mr. Dull increased enrollment by 30 percent and helped raise record funds for the school during the year. Despite the success, Dull says he was drawn to the opportunity to lead Hackett Catholic Prep in order to move back to Michigan, where he and his wife raised their daughters and where they currently attend college.
“I am pleased to welcome Paul to our Catholic school community,” said Margaret Erich, Superintendent, Diocese of Kalamazoo Catholic Schools. “I look forward to working with him as he begins his leadership role at Hackett Catholic Prep.”
Catholic Schools of Greater Kalamazoo (CSGK) is a family of three schools: St. Monica Catholic School, St. Augustine Cathedral School, and Hackett Catholic Prep High School.
