ALLEGAN MI (WKZO AM/FM) – UPDATED – Allegan County authorities are providing an update to a crash involving a semi truck Wednesday morning.
A passenger vehicle driven by a male from the Zeeland area had been driving southbound in the northbound lane of M-40 / Lincoln Road.
A northbound semi from northern Indiana was unable to avoid the southbound vehicle, at which time a head-on collision took place.
The driver of the passenger car is being treated at a local hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the semi suffered minor injuries.
The crash is currently being investigated by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction team.
M-40 remains closed at this time.

Allegan County authorities are investigating a car-semi accident that injured one person Wednesday morning.
Deputies were called to a location on M-40 in Valley Township at around 9 am, where they discovered that a car had struck a semi.
The driver of the car suffered injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
Their condition is not known at this time.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
The accident closed down a section of M-40 for more than three hours.
